13th Jan 2016, New Delhi: The Egencia/Expedia Mobile Behavior Mobile Index, a global study of mobile-device-related behavior and preferences among travelers conducted across multiple countries and continents was launched today. The survey highlights that India (80%) leads in checking in with work followed by Thailand (74%) and Mexico (65%). 20% Indian spouse or travel partners said that they were most annoyed with partners who check in with work during a vacation. About the survey:Expedia, one of the world's largest full service online travel sites, today released the results of the 2015 Vacation Deprivation® study, an annual study of vacation habits across multiple countries and continents. The survey highlights that India is the fourth most vacation deprived nation globally, with 65% of Indians saying they feel very or somewhat vacation deprived, and 20% saying they are very vacation deprived. About the survey:Expedia, one of the world’s largest online travel agency, today released the Holiday Activity Report 2015, an analysis of travel behavior and preferences across multiple cities in India. The survey was conducted with 520 respondents across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad. The survey highlights that 48% Indians travelled for a specific/set of holiday activities this summer and decided their destinations accordingly.
